1. Who we are
Hospitality Deal Intelligence ("HDI", "we", "us", or "our") are a business intelligence provider focused on the global hospitality industry. We collect, enrich, and provide professional contact data to help B2B sales, marketing, and partnership teams reach decision makers at hotels, hospitality groups, and related businesses.
We are the controller of the professional contact data described in this policy. Where we license that data to a client, the client becomes an independent controller of the data it accesses, and is separately responsible for its own use of it and for its own privacy information. We are not responsible for a client's processing, and we do not act on a client's instructions.

2. What personal data we collect
We collect and process professional contact data that relates to your role or organization. This may include:
-
Name
-
Job title and department
-
Company name
-
Company website
-
Business email address (public and enriched)
-
Office location (city/country)
-
LinkedIn or other professional profile URLs
-
Work history, education, or professional affiliations
-
Mentions in press, conferences, or public sources
We do not collect:
-
Personal email addresses (e.g. Gmail, Hotmail) unless publicly listed for professional use
-
Sensitive personal data (e.g. health, political views, biometric data)
-
Private or consumer contact information
3. How We Collect This Data
We obtain professional contact data from the following categories of source:
-
Publicly available sources, including company websites, professional networking profiles, press releases and industry publications
-
Published project announcements, planning records and trade press reporting
-
Licensed third party data providers
-
Business contact verification and enrichment tools
-
Direct submissions and our own research and correspondence
We do not obtain this data from you directly. Where we hold a verified business email address that is not itself publicly listed, it has been obtained from a licensed provider or verification tool and confirmed as professionally associated with your role.
3a. Data not obtained directly from you
Because we collect professional contact data from the sources listed above rather than from you, we are not always able to contact each individual to provide this information at the point of collection. Doing so for every record would involve disproportionate effort, and would in many cases mean initiating contact with people who have not asked to hear from us.
We therefore make this information publicly available here, in a permanent and accessible form, as our means of informing you. We keep this page current, we link to it from our website, and we respond to any request made through it.
If you would like to know whether we hold data about you, or would like it removed, contact info@hospitalitydealintelligence.com or use our Trust Center.
4. Purpose of processing
We use your professional contact data to:
-
Build accurate business contact profiles
-
Help clients conduct B2B sales, marketing, and outreach
-
Improve our data accuracy and enrichment
-
Maintain our internal records and data platform
5. Legal basis for processing
If you are in the UK or EU:
We rely on legitimate interest under Article 6(1)(f) of the UK/EU GDPR. This allows us and our clients to use professional data for lawful B2B outreach in a proportionate and transparent manner.
We have carried out a legitimate interests assessment covering this processing, considering the purpose, the necessity of the processing, and the balance against the interests and rights of the individuals concerned. A summary is available on request.
You have the right to object to this processing at any time. Where you object to the use of your data for direct marketing purposes, we will stop and will not resume.
If you are in California (USA):
Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), our sharing of B2B contact data may constitute a “sale” or “sharing” of personal information. You may opt out at any time — see “Your Rights” below.
6. Data sharing
We share professional contact data with our clients (businesses only) under licensing agreements that limit use to:
-
B2B sales, marketing, and partnership activities
-
No resale, abuse, or consumer use permitted
We do not share your information with advertisers or non-business entities.
7. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
-
Access the personal data we hold about you
-
Correct inaccurate or outdated information
-
Request deletion (“right to be forgotten”)
-
Restrict processing or object to use of your data
-
Opt out of our database entirely
You can exercise your rights at any time by contacting:
info@hospitalitydealintelligence.com
We will respond to any valid request within one month of receiving it, as required by data protection law. In practice we aim to deal with removal requests considerably faster than this. If a request is complex, or if we need further information to identify your record, we will tell you and may extend the period as permitted by law.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your request, please raise it with us first at info@hospitalitydealintelligence.com. If you are in the United Kingdom you also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. If you are in the European Union you may complain to your local supervisory authority.
8. Data retention and suppression
We keep professional contact data only for as long as it remains accurate, relevant and necessary for our services. We review records periodically and remove those that are no longer current.
If you ask us to remove your data, we will delete your profile from our platform and add the minimum identifying details necessary to a permanent suppression register. We hold that register indefinitely, and we screen all new and enriched records against it, so that your details are not re-added to our platform in future. Retaining that limited record is necessary in order to honor your request permanently, and this is the only purpose for which we use it.
Where we have previously provided your details to a client, we will notify that client of the removal and require them under our terms to delete the record and cease contacting you. Clients act as independent controllers, so any residual data they hold is subject to their own obligations, and you may also contact them directly.
9. International data transfers
As we serve clients globally, your professional contact data may be accessed or processed in countries outside your home country, including the United Kingdom, the European Union, and the United States. Where data is transferred internationally, we apply appropriate safeguards in accordance with applicable data protection laws. This may include the use of Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs), UK International Data Transfer Agreements (IDTAs), or other lawful mechanisms. You may contact us at info@hospitalitydealintelligence.com to request more information about these safeguards.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. When we do, we will revise the “Effective Date” and publish the updated version on our website.
